My Monster Rancher Battles

Battles pit your monster against another in-game monster or another player's monster. Wins are rewarded with money or sometimes special items, such as tickets to restricted adventure areas or mystery disks.
Battles are done by stat comparisons - both monsters will compare a stat and the higher wins. If the higher stat is more than twice that of the lower, it is a critical hit. A monster needs three wins or two criticals to secure the match.

There are four kinds of matches:

Open: Battles begin immediately against an NPC opponent. Rewards are cash.
Duel: Battles begin at specified times (the end of the two-hour sign-up period) against another player. Rewards are items.
Special (Tournament): Battles begin at specified times against another player. There are three or more rounds - the first ones are rewarded with cash and the last with a rare item, such as an attribute booster or blank mystery disk.
Official: Battles begin immediately against an NPC opponent. Rewards are cash and an increase in class. These battles do not become available until the monster has a specified number of wins in other matches in that class.
Note: The times for the matches below are based on Greenwich Mean Time, which is what the MMR servers are set to. The actual time displayed for each match will depend on your local time zone (for example, a match set to occur at 20:00 will be at 15:00 (3PM) in Eastern Standard Time.)

My Monster Rancher Adventures

Adventures remove your monsters from play for a specified amount of time to explore foreign areas. Adventures require no energy and monsters continue to recover energy while on an adventure, however they will age one week per adventure.

Monsters may encounter a number of events while exploring. They can fight other monsters, learn new skills, raise their stats significantly, or find items. If a monster's stats are not high enough, they may fail the exploration, which will only give a 1% completion and no rewards.

Once an area has been completely explored, the next area will open up. The previous area can be re-explored for bonuses without having to re-clear the area. Some areas are only available for a limited amount of time.

My Monster Rancher Items

There are many items through the game. Most are bought in the store, but some may only be obtaininable via the monster medal gacha, in battle, by completing missions, on adventures, or must be bought with Mobacoin (which are obtained with real money.)

Items fall into several catergories:
Food: These consumable items restore energy and raise confidence. Monsters generally have a favorite food (which gives a larger effect) and a least favorite (which gives less than average.)
Training Items: These items raise trust, which makes training easier.
Combination Items: these items affect the outcome of a combination and may increase the odds of getting a certain monster or allow it to learn a new skill.
Mystery Disks: Mystery disks generate a certain breed of monster.
Presents: Presents are a unique item that cannot be used on the player's monsters, but instead can be used on other players' monsters. They raise a monster's fame.
Specialty Items: These items have special effects, such as tickets to a restricted area.
